Mozart & Victoria selling fast: don't miss out!

Tickets have been selling very fast for the opening concert in Sydney Chamber Choir’s 2008 Season, on 16 March (Palm Sunday) at 6pm, features the Sydney premiere of Mozart’s much-loved Requiem in a uniquely Australian completion by Gordon Kerry.

Conducted by Richard Gill, the performance also features soloists Penelope Mills, Sally-Anne Russell, Chistopher Saunders and Stephen Bennett, as well as the Sydney Children’s Choir, which will sing a number of tropes (poetic interpolations in response to the sacred text) by Kerry.

Also on the program are selections from the Tenebrae Responsories of Tomás Luis de Victoria. This is music of great great spiritual intensity and sublime beauty.
