Sydney Chamber Choir
Thursday 21 January
Cycles
In this joyous and uplifting program of contemporary choral music, Sydney Chamber Choir celebrates the universal experience of transition and renewal: the changing of the seasons; the passing of one year into the next; the great circle of birth and death. Featuring works by contemporary composers Brenda Gifford, Paul Stanhope, Brooke Shelley, Ross Edwards, Jonathan Dove and David Conte, Cycles is a joyful celebration of life itself.
Saturday 13 March

Tuesday 4 May
Voyage of Musical Discovery
An exploration of how composers turn voices into instruments, and instruments into voices, through an all-Australian program of choral works and a chamber work by Swedish Romantic composer Franz Berwald. Presented by the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra.
Saturday 12 February, 2022
Solander
A world premiere performance of a new song cycle based on the life of the Swedish botanist, Daniel Solander, who accompanied James Cook on his first Pacific voyage.
“I sense that with a small ensemble like ours, the audience gets to know us over the course of attending concerts. With the diversity of our repertoire and the calibre of the singers, the intentional presence of certain voices at times is just as important as blend, in communicating the text and music. There is an intimacy and a connection there that is made and remade.”
