Flower Songs
A celebration of Sydney Chamber Choir’s past, present and future. Featuring favourites from our 47 years of concerts and recordings, this program brings together the exquisite beauty of Renaissance masters Josquin des Prez, Ockeghem and Dufay, and highlights from the music we have brought into being: thrilling, passionate and inspiring works written for us and premiered by us, from Ross Edwards’ irrepressibly joyous Flower Songs to a new work by rising star Ella Macens.
“If I were blindfolded amongst the choristers and we all started singing, I would know immediately it was Sydney Chamber Choir. There is a maturity of interpretation, a certain sensitivity of phrasing, a core sound that has evolved over the years and a strong sense of identity.”

Light & Shade
A journey deep into the heart of hope. Music of radiant beauty by JS Bach, John Rutter and Australian composer Brooke Shelley frames an unforgettable vision of light in the midst of utter darkness from German Baroque genius Heinrich Schütz.
